Frequently Asked Questions
The installation process for Solid Timber can be quite complicated based on your installation space and climate conditions. Due to the nature of Solid Timber, it is sensitive to air and subfloor moisture and will contract or expand as a result of this. We can provide installation services to make this process easier to complete. Our flooring partners provide detailed guides on the preparation before Solid Timber installation. For DIY installations, it is highly recommended that customers see this before attempting installation.
Never expose your Solid Timber planks to moisture in the form of steam or wet mopping while cleaning. Instead, cleaning should be done by vacuuming and sweeping the floor regularly. Any spills should be minimised, however if they occur then they should be immediately soaked up with a dry towel or mop.UV light exposure should be minimised to prevent fading. No wax treatments should be applied to the flooring boards.
We currently have 2 ranges of Solid Timber flooring comprising several tropical and native Australian species. The species of wood will impact the durability and scratch resistance of the flooring.
